We are looking forward to the 27th Annual Meeting of the North Dakota Petroleum Council September 16–18, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Bismarck, North Dakota. We have a great line-up of speakers for the meeting and look forward to seeing you there!
This year’s meeting begins with an extra day of golf on Tuesday, September 16 at the Hawktree Golf Club. We have reserved tee times from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for you to golf with friends or business associates. The special rate for Petroleum Council meeting registrants is $70, which includes green fees, cart, and tax. . Tuesday’s green fees will be paid individually to Hawktree at the course.
An evening reception is planned for Tuesday night at the Bistro starting at 6:30 p.m. The address of the Bistro is 1103 E. Front Avenue. There will be plenty of food and beverages while you socialize. Annual Meeting pre-registration will also start at 6:30 at the Bistro.
The Oil Pac Golf event will be held Wednesday at the Riverwood Golf Course. Registration information is enclosed. We expect a big crowd for golf; so sign up early!
The Oil Pac Sporting Clays event will be held Wednesday at Capitol City Sporting Clays. Registration information is enclosed. Don’t want to travel with your gun? Use one of ours. We have guns available upon request. However, please let us know ahead of time. Anyone wishing to shoot practice rounds on Tuesday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m., contact Marsha at the Petroleum Council office at 701.223.6380. Extra rounds will be available each day.
For those of you who don’t golf or shoot clays, we have arranged for a luncheon at the North Dakota Heritage Center Mezzanine on the State Capitol Grounds. David Borlag, President of the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation will talk about the Legends of the Dakota Trail and John Hoganson, State Paleontologist, ND Geological Survey, will speak about the “Prehistoric Life of North Dakota.” There will also be optional tours of the Prehistoric Life and American Indians Exhibits after the luncheon.
The Wednesday evening social will begin at the Radisson Hotel at 6:00 p.m. with the Hall of Fame Banquet and entertainment to follow at 7:00 p.m.
