
Ron Ness is President of the North Dakota Petroleum Council. His primary function is governmental relations in North Dakota and South Dakota. He serves as the industry spokesperson and manages the association.
Ness was previously the President of the North Dakota Retail and Petroleum Marketers Associations representing more than one thousand members statewide. Prior to that he spent ten years with the state of North Dakota as the Deputy Commissioner of Labor and as a Compliance Officer with the State Tax Department.
Ness is a Tolna, North Dakota native, a graduate of North Dakota State University in Business and Economics, and received his masters in management from the University of Mary. He is a graduate of the Bismarck/Mandan Leadership Program.
Ness was appointed by Governor Hoeven to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission and the Oil and Gas Research Council. The Secretary of the Interior appointed him to the Bureau of Land Management's Dakota Resource Advisory Council, and serves as Chairman. He was also appointed by the Secretary of Defense to the North Dakota Committee for Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve.
He is a member of the University of Mary Business Advisory Board and South Central High Schoo'ls Business Advisory Board. He is past Chairman of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Personnel Team, and is Habitat Chairman for the Dakota Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
He and his wife Becky have three children and are avid outdoorsmen, who enjoy golfing and hunting.

Marsha Reimnitz has been the Office Manager of the North Dakota Petroleum Council since March 1980. She was previously employed with the North Dakota Highway Patrol for eight years.
Marsha is a Bismarck native who loves to read and hates to cook. She enjoys watching all kinds of sporting events, especially those involving her two children, Josh and Kelsey.
Tyler is an Edgeley, North Dakota native who is currently a student at the University of Mary. He is graduating this spring with his degree in Business Administration. Tyler is also a member of the North Dakota National Guard and served in Iraq from 2004-2005.
Tyler enjoys athletics and competing against friends in anything ranging from Frisbee Golf to backyard football.
