Community Outreach & Philanthropy
Community outreach is vital to garnering support and creating positive community relations across North Dakota, and the NDPC is committed to strengthening those ties.
For nearly a decade, the NDPC has worked to expand outreach and education opportunities through first our North Dakota Oil Can! program and most recently through our new Energy of North Dakota campaign with the goal of increasing communication and awareness between our members and the communities in which we operate. Whether it is through town halls, barbecues, charity drives or volunteer events, members have the opportunity to increase their presence and influence in the community by developing existing partnerships, fostering new relationships with key stakeholders throughout the state, and promoting the safe and responsible development of our natural resources.
Through the Energy of North Dakota program and grassroots advocates, the Bakken Backers program, the NDPC continues to develop existing partnerships and foster new relationships with key stakeholders throughout the state.
Planting for the Future
Planting for the Future is a habitat and conservation program that provides trees and shrubs for large-scale planting projects. The program is supported by the Outdoor Heritage Fund, the North Dakota Petroleum Council, ONEOK, other industry partners, private landowners, and sportsmen and conservation groups.
The North Dakota Petroleum Council awards several scholarships each year to students pursuing a degree in fields related to energy.
The NDPC hosts three charitable drives to collect items and resources for worthy causes.
