Succeed 2020: A $25 Million Hess Investment

Hess corporation invested 25 million dollars to education and workforce initiative in North Dakota.
Today, they explained how that money is being used in our schools and communities. Succeed 2020 is the program helping middle and high schoolers prepare for college and the workforce. It’s a five year plan to help increase scholarship recipients and graduation rates.
Luke Schaefer; Regional Education Director: “It provided the opportunity to investigate and truly use design challenges to find out the most impressive ways that we can change education in North Dakota.”
The program, Succeed 2020, has helped increase the number of students receiving scholarships by 9 percent. High school graduation rates have also gone up by 1 percent and are 3 percent above the national average.
