  • WSI Board of Director Candidates Needed

    A coordinating committee outlined in the North Dakota Century Code Chapter 65-02-03.1, is seeking employer representative candidates to fill vacant seats on the Workforce Safety & Insurance Board of Directors. On December 31st, 2018 two seats will become available for appointment.

    The seats available are for an employer representative of North Dakota businesses. The two seats are further broken down by premium category. One seat is an employer representative which has a WSI annual premium range more than $25,000 per year. The final seat is for an employer representative at large. Candidates interested in filling this position must be the principal owner, chief executive officer, or chief financial officer of a North Dakota business.

    Coordinating Committee member Arik Spencer said, “These are extremely important positions, not only to North Dakota’s business community, but also to the injured workers of North Dakota.” He added, “We are looking for candidates who have a good base knowledge of Workforce Safety & Insurance and are dedicated to implementing and promoting policies, procedures and legislation to increase safety and help prevent injuries in the workplace.”

    “We have a great Workforce Safety & Insurance program in North Dakota, we offer great benefits to our employees, while maintaining low rates to our employers, as North Dakota continues to grow, this advisory board will be instrumental in maintaining our great WSI system” Spencer added.

    Candidates must be able to travel (in state) several times a year to attend WSI Board of Directors meetings and be available to serve on a number of WSI Board subcommittees.
